Highlights
SC LECEN has held several online meetings since June of 2024. The first in-person meeting was hosted by the Columbia Police Department on Wednesday April 19, 2025. The meeting highlighted presentations by Captain Rod Stinson/Rock Hill Police Department (Topic: Building Community Engagement Networks), and Officer Joyce Coe-Everett/Darlington Police Department (Topic: Mental Health and Blue). Our Guest Speaker was none other than THE Sgt (Retired) Kevin Martinez, manager of Law Enforcement Partnerships for Movement Forward, Inc. The group engaged in spirited and insightful discussions about creating strategies to get more organizations involved in the process of improving law enforcement and community engagement in South Carolina.
